For some reasons unknown British tabloids like Daily Star, Daily Express & Metro hold this notion that Gareth Bale is unwanted at Real Madrid. I seriously don’t know where they get this idea from. Either they do not follow Real Madrid matches or take proper note of Carlo Ancelotti’s pre/post match interviews.

We all know these tabloids are good at manufacturing stories, but what they are doing of late is cringeworthy. Yes, I repeat, cringeworthy.

Three Key Questions

The Daily Star has published a story yesterday that claim Real Madrid are looking to sell Gareth Bale (only Chisanaga Malata, the writer knows why) and will use the money to buy Chelsea’s world class winger Eden Hazard.

Bale, 25, has been heavily linked with a move away from the Spanish capital after reports suggested Los Blancos boss Carlo Ancelotti is unhappy with the former Tottenham star.”

Which report says that Carlo is unhappy with Bale? Last time we checked Carlo’s presser he claimed Bale adds a different dimension to his team; no wonder why the Welshman was drafted straight away into the first team last night.

We have the answer. They basically got this piece of info from their partners in crime, Daily Express: Bale’s place in Carlo Ancelotti’s plans has been called into question due to the Welsh winger’s lack of tactical discipline.”

Daily Star continues:

“Sources in Spain suggest Manchester United are eager to sign the Welshman and are willing to offer the European champions a staggering £90m to acquire his services.

The La Liga leaders have ruled out selling Bale on several occasions in the last few weeks, but according to reports, that’s no longer the case.

Several publications in Spain have suggested Real are willing to sell Bale to United and are planning to sign Hazard as his replacement.

The news of Real’s desire to let Bale leave will be a huge boost to Red Devils boss Louis van Gaal, who is allegedly willing to offer the forward a staggering £300,000-a-week contract at Old Trafford.”

And this is where our main objection lies. Which Spanish report? What are the names of several Spanish publications? FYI, we at Soccerlens, regularly check all most all the major & minor newspapers & websites in Spain & we didn’t see any such reports on it.

The best we can do here is research & find the true story behind. Trust me, it didn’t take much time.

It all started with this Express article published on 4th Nov. They claim to have got the news from “Spanish report” and say REAL MADRID are to step up their interest in Chelsea star Eden Hazard as they prepare for life without Gareth Bale.”

They seem to have got the news from Fichajes.net, a Spanish website, that mainly cover transfer news. In fact, they did cover this story but they clearly mention too According to reports from several English sports media.”

First it was Hazard, now Express turned their attention to Bale-Di Maria swap. They claimed few days later, of course by saying “reports from Spain”: “REAL MADRID are preparing to ask Manchester United to send Angel Di Maria back to the Bernabeu in exchange for Gareth Bale.”

The Daily Star find this as an interesting cocktail – so how about punching all the story into one. Ah! You got it. Bale leaving to United, Real Madrid want Hazard. Perfect. They even add LVG is ready to give £300,000-a-week contract.

Our objection doesn’t lie in their fabrication of stories, for that we know, this os something tabloids at good at, but misleading others by claiming “reports from XYZ country” which is untrue is a disgrace to journalism!
