Real Madrid has won their last ten La Liga matches and looks to make it 11 in a row as they face rivals Atletico Madrid.

Real Madrid have been the hottest team in La Liga and now hold a lead over Barcelona on goal difference. Atletico Madrid has won three out of their last five matches and are five points back of the last UEFA Europa League spot.

Madrid have been nothing short of spectacular at the Bernabeu with a 14-0-0 record and +36 goal difference. On the other hand, Atletico have a 2-4-8 away record with a -10 goal difference.

It will be a tough test for Atletico to get any result at the Bernabeu. The combination of a poor away record and playing at the best team at home in La Liga will be too much to overcome. Real Madrid’s Gonzalo Higuain continues to shine with six goals in his last three matches. Kaka and Karim Benzema have missed the last few matches but could return for Sunday’s derby match.

It should be a high scoring match and Atletico could sneak out a draw if Real aren’t careful. Atletico are the only team to beat Barcelona in La Liga and Real Madrid’s defense has shown signs of vulnerabilities. Both sides should have chances but Real Madrid have too much firepower for their cross-town rivals to compete with.
