After an impressive loan spell at Aston Villa, one of the few shining stars in a season of under-performing for the Midlands club, Ryan Bertrand is mulling over his future…

…and the attacking full-back isn’t short of options.

His original desire was to convince the Special One he has what it takes to be the first choice left-back for the London giants in the wake of long-term starter, Ashley Cole, falling to the bench and now departing the club. Rumors abound though of multiple left-backs on Mourinho’s radar, primarily Atletico Madrid’s Felipe Luis and Southampton’s Luke Shaw, giving Bertrand serious reason to consider moving on and making a name for himself elsewhere. Jose is also interested in Liverpool target, Alberto Moreno of Sevilla.

Mauricio Pochettino is keen on bringing him to Tottenham, where he took over as manager last week, after 18 very successful months on the south coast of England with Southampton. The deal would be somewhat of a hi-jack of his former club who are also interested in Bertrand as a replacement, should Luke Shaw succumb to the lure of the bright lights.

Aston Villa would love to keep him at Villa Park, but their poor finish last season and instability in the market place with the club up for sale and the manager’s future uncertain, are sure to put them close to the bottom of Bertrand’s wish-list.

Liverpool are also looking at the full-back, as another good choice should the Luke Shaw and Moreno bids fail to come to fruition. Brendan Rodgers is looking to fill out his squad ahead of their UEFA Champions League campaign and any of these left-backs would be a great acquisition for the Mersey-side club.

Hull are also on the scene as they look to strengthen after their squad failed to go the distance last season, spending the second half of season languishing in the bottom half of the table and ending in the lowest position they had been in since the 5th game, way back in September. The Tigers are believed to value the defender at around £5 million and are eager to move the deal through promptly.

Which of these Premier League sides would you like to see the 24-year-old playing for next season?
