Arsenal will face Aston Villa on Monday night at the Villa Park, looking to reclaim the top position in the Premier League.

Chelsea are currently top of the league, after they defeated Hull City yesterday, but the Gunners could reclaim that top-spot, should they win against the Villans.

The big news that rocked the North Londoners recently was the injury to Theo Walcott, who will not only miss the rest of the season, but could possibly miss the World Cup as well. His injury could prompt Arsene Wenger to delve into the transfer market.

In the defence, Arsenal will miss the services of Kieran Gibbs and Thomas Vermaelen through calf and knee injury respectively, so expect Spaniard Nacho Monreal to fill the left-back role, while Wenger will go with his trusted pair of Koscielny and Mertesacker for this tie.

Aaron Ramsey is still out with a thigh injury. Wenger therefore could go with central midfield pairings of Jack Wilshere and Mikel Arteta for this fixture.

Oxlade-Chamberlain is fit again but won’t expect the Englishman to replace Walcott straightaway, rather could play some part as a sub. Likewise, Podolski could be benched in favour of Cazorla, while fit again Olivier Giroud will start as lone striker.

Prediction: 1-2; Arsenal’s away form have been phenomenal this season and expect them to earn full three points and secure the top position in the league.
