With the summer transfer window heading towards a dramatic conclusion in less than a week’s time, things are getting spicier across Europe. It astonishing to see how pure media fabrication from English tabloids have fans jumping in ecstasy, only to find out a couple of days later that the transfer rumour was non existent.

Such has been the case for Arsenal’s so called  massive pursuit of PSG striker Edinson Cavani. The Express published a story couple of days back that the Gunners were set to launch a £50m move for Cavani after Olivier Giroud injury blow. However reports today from French media outlet Le 10 Sport have cited RMC Sport saying that a source close to Cavani has confirmed that, “Arsenal have not contacted PSG. Anyway, the French champions have already made it clear that the player is not transferable.”

We had reported way back in April that Cavani was unhappy in Paris with manager Laurent Blanc deploying him on the right wing rather than in a more central role. The 27 year old also did not rule out a summer move away from the French capital saying, “Will I remain at Paris next term? We will see at the end of the season.”

There were also reports that Chelsea and Manchester United were interested in the former Napoli man but the interest from both the English giants have died down ever since.
