Brazilian forward Neymar has signed a new deal with the Spanish champions Barcelona.
The Brazilian was linked with a move to the Premier League all summer and there were question marks over whether Barcelona will be able to meet the player’s terms of extension.
However, a deal seems done and dusted now and an announcement is expected soon. According to the report, the delay in announcement is because of commercial and tax reasons.
Neymar joined Barcelona in 2013 and has won several trophies with them including the Champions League and the La Liga. The Brazilian was also voted as the third best player in the world earlier this year.
Neymar has scored 82 goals in 131 games for the Catalan giants and is considered as the next big thing in World football after Lionel Messi, especially with Cristiano Ronaldo regressing because of his age.
The young forward has managed to score 23 goals in 33 games so far this season.
