Manchester United manager David Moyes was in Germany last night to watch Bundesliga action, though his main purpose was something else, which we all can understand.

The Scot was at the Borussia Park, watching Bayern Munich talking on Borussia Monchengladbach, where his main interests was to scot few players like Patrick Herrmann, Max Kruse and Mario Mandzukic, all were recently linked with the Old Trafford club.

Well, we don’t know who the scouted players were, but the Daily Mail reports, Moyes probably was watching Bayern Munich’s midfield dynamo Toni Kroos.

According to the report, Moyes was escorted to the stadium by Kroos’ agent and the Scot was alerted of the contract stand-off between the player and his Munich bosses.

Sascha Breese, the representative of Kroos, from the Sports total agency, met Moyes and coaches Phil Neville and Steve Round and sat with them at the game.

The 24-year-old’s current contract runs out at the end of next season and Bayern chief executive Karl-Heinz Rummenigge admitted that talks have so far failed to lead to a new contract.

The German international would be a perfect fit for Manchester United and it remains to be seen whether Moyes can exploit his contract situation, by offering £25m or even more to tempt Bayern to at least enter into any negotiation.

Should Manchester United try their best to lure Toni Kroos in January?
