Former Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has been linked with a return to management with Manchester United at the end of this season.

According to the Portuguese media, Mourinho to Manchester United is all but done and the Portuguese is sorting out the paperwork for his new house in Manchester. He has also informed his close friends that he is taking over at Old Trafford at the end of this season.

Dutch manager Louis Van Gaal will make way after a disappointing season with the Red Devils.

Manchester United are struggling to finish in top four and are already out of the Champions League. The Premier League giants could also be out of the Europa League by Thursday.

Mourinho has been linked with the Manchester United job ever since Sir Alex Ferguson decided to step down.

With the likes of Guardiola and Conte coming in at Manchester City and Chelsea next season, Manchester United will need a world class manager to bridge the gap and Mourinho is the perfect candidate for that. He is a proven winner and has excelled at every club he has managed.

Mourinho won the Premier League with Chelsea last season and was sacked towards the end of 2015 after a poor start to this season.

Recent reports have stated that Mourinho will earn around 15 million pounds per season at Manchester United.
