According to reports from the trusted and reliable Gianluca Di Marzio website from Italy, Chelsea midfielder Mohamed Salah’s future is unclear. The Egyptian winger who rarely featured for the Blues had a fantastic six month loan spell at Fiorentina helping the side finish fourth in the Serie A standings and also reaching the semi final of the Europa League.

As a result the Viola want to keep the 23 and have also submitted a €1m fee before the July 1st deadline to extend his loan period for the coming season well. However, the player is now keeping his options open before taking a decision on where his future will lie.

The report states that several Italian sides including both the Milan sides and Roma are interested in the Egyptian’s services while Atletico Madrid and Tottenham are also keeping tabs on the situation. Chelsea though have set a €25m price tag on the winger and will not be willing to sell for anything less than that figure.

The Blues would rather keep him at Fiorentina or any other side as the competition for places in their squad would mean Salah would have to sit on the bench again. However, it wouldn’t be favourable for either parties. Fiorentina recently sacked manager Vincenzo Montella in a shock move criticising the Italian for a breach of trust. This has made the decision tough for Salah on whether he will be at the Viola next season.

Football Italia also reports that Tottenham also have been linked with an approach for Salah but Chelsea would make their cross town London neighbours pay a big transfer fee for the winger.
