Mesut Ozil’s Seven-Figure Nike Deal Revealed

Football boots manufacturers are not shy of splashing the cash when it comes to getting some of the top players on their payroll. Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi, Wayne Rooney and even Michael Ballack make more than decent amounts of money from football shoes.

The break-out star of the 2010 World Cup in South Africa, Mesut Ozil got himself a move to Real Madrid.

Since his newly-expanded profile and long-term prospects needed to be fed with more money. So, Ozil’s new Nike contract makes him the top-earning sportswear endorser from Germany.

Ozil has been a Superfly man since he got any kind of recognition. He used to wear Superfly II before but now Ozil is wearing the new Nike Mercurial Vapor Superfly III and according to German media report, Ozil’s agreement with Nike is worth $5.6 million through the next four years with an option of a renewal in 2015.

Bayer Leverkusen’s Michael Ballack’s $3.5 million deal with adidas is likely to fall due to Ballack’s diminished profile.

Campaigning for the Superfly III, Ozil is also set to star in a new advert with Nike’s other superstar footballers.
