Borussia Dortmund destroyer Ilkay Gundogan is set to make a decision regarding his future, with both Manchester United and Real Madrid said to have made tempting bids for the 23-year-old.
German newspaper Bild has reported that both United and Spanish giants Real have presented Gundogan with offers to leave the Bundesliga. Dortmund are desperate to avoid losing yet another of their main assets, and have prepared an improved contract to ward off the duo.
The German international has spoken about the current situation, and refused to rule out any possibilities.
“I will soon make a decision that will be well considered,” Gundogan was quoted to have said in Bild,
“It’s still really open.”
United boss David Moyes has been spotted in both Italy and France this week, reportedly scouring Europe for potential reinforcements. The midfield is of real concern to the Scot, and a host of stars have been linked with a move to Old Trafford this January.
At 23, Gundogan is not only a world class performer, but also one that has a glittering career ahead of him. If Moyes can lure the player to Manchester, it could be one of the most important signings of his entire tenure.
