Manchester United were eyeing up a move for the highly talented Dutch midfielder Tahith Chong and according to latest reports from the Dutch media, the Red Devils have won the race for the Feyenoord player.

It is understood that Manchester United have beaten the likes of Arsenal to the signing of Chong.

According to the Dutch newspaper AD, Chong will join Manchester United.

Earlier in 2015, Chong himself confirmed Manchester United’s interest in him and claimed that he would rather stay at Feyenoord and that he was having talks with the club about his long-term future.

It appears that Manchester United have now convinced the young midfielder to sign for them. Chong impressed the Manchester United scouts while he was at Carrington during the U17 Premier Cup last summer.

The 16-year-old midfielder can operate as a number ten or as a winger. Chong is regarded as one of the best talents in Netherlands right now and will walk straight into the Manchester United youth team.
