Manchester United’s young goalkeeper Pierluigi Gollini is all set to join Italian outfit Hellas Verona, as reported by the ever reliable Gianluca di Marzio website.

The 19-year-old goalkeeper was signed from Fiorentina, joined Manchester United at the age of 16. He was one of the key performers for United junior and reserve teams, but couldn’t make the senior grade.

He made his debut against Stoke City and struggled to make a bright impression in 2011/12, when five different keepers were used by Paul McGuinness. However, he returned strongly next season and did put up impressive performances against Stoke City and Blackburn Rovers.

Italian website Gazzetta dello Sport reported that the player is all set to leave the club and only official announcement is all that is missing at the moment.

Gollini is considered one of the brightest prospects in European football, and has decided not to renew his contract at the Old Trafford club. He has decided to return back to his native country and start a new journey with Hellas Verona.
