Manchester United will reveal their new 2006/2007 kit (adorned by the AIG logo) on their website today.
However the blue kit (introduced last season) will remain the same, with the only difference being that the sponsor’s logo will be changed from Vodafone to AIG (read more about this here).
The new kit is supposed to sport a retro 50s look to commemorate a 50-year anniversary of the Busby Babes. It will be unveiled (according to the Manchester United statement) in Durban at a special photocall and pictures will also be uploaded on the official Manchester United website and (hopefully) here as well.
There have been a few fakes floating around in the forums – don’t bother with them.
Here’s a preview of what the kit might look like:
There will be an AIG logo on it, like this:
It looks fine except for the AIG logo – I hope they don’t have the box around it.
The Sun showed this picture of Rooney allegedly sporting the new kit:
Authentic? I doubt it, because that looks like crap.
Bookmark this page and check back in the evening – I can guarantee you quality pictures of the United kit as soon as they are put online by the club.
