According to Sky Sports, Premier League Champions Manchester City have agreed a fee for Swansea striker Wilfried Bony.

The fee is thought to be in the region of £30m and the player’s agent has confirmed that the move should be completed soon.

The Manchester outfit were locked in talks with the Swans over the last week and it seems they have made a breakthrough as far as the transfer is concerned.

The details of the transfer are yet to be revealed. Wilfried Bony is now expected to undergo a medical and complete a big money move to Etihad, once he has fulfilled his AFCON duties with Ivory Coast.

The Champions have been plagued with constant injuries to their strikers, with Aguero, Dzeko, Jovetic all out injured for considerable periods so far. Addition of Bony will add much needed cover to City’s strikeforce and add a different dimension to their attack as well.

Wilfried Bony has made a significant impact at Swansea, since joining the Welsh outfit from Eredivisie and has been linked with several moves away from Wales. Bony will join up with the rest of the City squad after the African cup of nations, as the Champions look to defend their title against Mourinho’s Chelsea.
