Manchester United keeper David De Gea is ready to sack his agent Jorge Mendes if the Portuguese agent fails to secure his transfer to Real Madrid this summer.

According to El Confidencial, De Gea is so desperate to leave Manchester United that he is willing to wield the axe on one of the best agents in world football.

Manchester United are keen to hold on to their best player for one more season, but the Spaniard is keen to leave this summer and will stop at nothing to get what he wants.

According to recent reports, Real Madrid have offered him 12 million pounds to stay and see out his contract with Manchester United. The Spanish outfit are unwilling to match United’s demands and are prepared to wait until next summer to land their man on a free transfer.

De Gea has played no part in United’s two premier league games so far and will continue to wait on the sidelines as long as his future is not sorted.

Van Gaal has confirmed that De Gea has refused to play for United until a decision has been reached.

Meanwhile, Mendes is thought to be in Manchester finalizing the transfer of Nicolas Otamendi to Manchester City.

United were leading the chase for Valencia’s Argentine, but City have swooped in late and have agreed to meet Valencia’s demands.
