Report: Liverpool have spent less than Arsenal in January Transfer Window since 2003

Premier League leaders Chelsea have spent more money on average than Manchester United, Man City, Arsenal and Liverpool, in the January transfer window, according to reports. 

Since the January transfer window began in 2002-03, QPR have spent more money than any other team, while Arsenal, with an average net spend of just £4.3m have spent less money than seven other Premier League team, per report by bookmakers bwin, via Independent. 

January transfer window hasn’t always been productive for London clubs. While QPR shelled out £16.1m in 2013 on Christopher Samba, Loic Remy and Jermaine Jenas, they still got relegated. 

Likewise, Chelsea spent £50m Fernando Torres and £25m David Luiz, but neither of the team are playing in the current Chelsea squad.
