Origi, who has scored five goals last season and featured in 30 of Lille’s 38 league games, is slowly establishing himself as a promising youngster from the rich pool of Belgian football talents and Liverpool see him mainly as a player for the future.

The Reds will send him on loan for the next season at Lille and expect him to join the squad at the start of the 2015-16 campaign.

The future of Luis Suarez, who is a reported target of Barcelona and Real Madrid, is under genuine threat and should the Uruguayan leave the club, Liverpool would step up their interest in Alexis Sanchez, who is likely to leave the Nou Camp in the summer.

Liverpool may also sign Sanchez in part exchange for Suarez, with Barcelona keen to use the Chilean as a make weight.
