Rodgers spoke highly of the Arsenal target claiming,“He’s a great talent, I’ve been following him since he was a youngster at Inter and then more closely at City. He has all the tools.”

“He’s quick, his first touch is exceptional and he knows how to score. He has returned in Italy to play, but he’s still very young. If he has the right targets and focus, he’ll be able to play in any team in the world.”

Balotteli had earlier sparked transfer speculations by posing in front of an Arsenal badge while shopping with his girlfriend. Moreover the controversial Italian genius’ agent Mino Raiola had flirted with the rumours linking his client with the Gunners saying, “Arsenal are one of the very few clubs who can afford to have Mario’s services. “

We had also earlier reported that Milan had offered the 23 year old to the Gunners for just €10m plus Costa Rican World Cup star Joel Campbell.
