Liverpool manager oversaw his team get a delightful 3-0 win over Manchester City that must have soothed the pain of the League Cup defeat days ago. Goals from Adam Lallana, James Milner and Roberto Firmino ensured the Reds went into the eighth place, one point behind Stoke and with a game in hand. Many think Liverpool can compete for the top 4 once again as Manchester City are losing ground as well.

However, manager Jurgen Klopp seemed to be more delighted with another victory that took place on Wednesday night. Bayern Munich were beaten by Mainz, a team Klopp played for a decade and managed for seven years. He was visibly extremely pleased with their takedown of Pep Guardiola’s team, almost as much as his side’s takedown of Guardiola’s future team. Bayern Munich’s loss also means Klopp’s former side Borussia Dortmund have a chance to close the gap on top.
