Chelsea offered Egyptian playmaker to Internazionale, according to reports in Italy.

Reliable Italian football journalist Gianluca Di Marzio has reported that the Blues offered the player to the Italian Serie A giants.

The deal did not go through because Inter’s manager were not convinced about bringing the player to the San Siro.

Inter were not interested in adding Salah to Water Mazzarri’s side.

Chelsea only signed the Egyptian back in January for Swiss Super League side FC Basel.  Salah made 10 appearances (6 starts), scoring two goals last season but has yet to feature so far in 2014-15.  He had scored against Chelsea in both of the Swiss side’s UEFA Champions League group stage victories last season.

He had also scored against Chelsea in the Europa League the previous season.

Mohamed Salah was an unused substitute in Chelsea’s thrilling 6-3 victory over Everton on Saturday.  The 22-year old has 30 caps for the Egypt national team, scoring 19 goals.

The deadline day deals Chelsea have completed today have been sending Marco van Ginkel on loan to AC Milan and Nathaniel Chalobah on loan to fellow Premier League side  Burnley.
