Memphis-Depay-makes-Hollands-provisional-World-Cup-squadInter Milan are set to challenge Manchester United and Manchester City in signing PSV Eindhoven star Memphis Depay.

According to the French publication Le 10Sport, the Serie A outfit have now entered the race for the signature of the talented youngster, who is dubbed to be the “future Cristiano Ronaldo.”

Depay had an impressive season with PSV, scoring 12 goals and managing eight assists in the league. His form has seen him being included in Louis van Gaal’s Holland squad for the 2014 FIFA World Cup, where they reached the last four of the tournament.

The 20-year-old has already scored twice and has an assist to his name in the World Cup as his national side reach the semifinals, where they face Argentina. Depay is aware of rumoured interest from Premier League clubs, but he had admitted that his focus remains on his Holland duties.

“Yes, I ‘I heard about interest from Manchester United, Manchester City and Tottenham. But nothing more. I see you later. My agent is here in Brazil, but we do not have that kind of discussion at this time. We’ll talk after the World Cup,” Depay said.

Inter has been taken over by Indonesian businessman Erick Thohir and the Italian outfit have the financial power to out muscle the English clubs for Depay’s signature. However, Louis van Gaal’s influence as United manager next season could lure the winger join the Old Trafford club.

Meanwhile, it also depends on the Dutch club if they are willing to let the player leave in the summer transfer window. However, a lucrative offer for Depay;s services from United, City, Tottenham of Inter could tempt PSV to part ways with their star man.
