Arsenal have announced that Laurent Koscielny, Olivier Giroud and Francis Coquelin have all signed new deals.

The Gunners have been trying to agree to extensions with their best players for a while now and they will be delighted that three of their key players have committed their futures to the club. The Londoners will be hoping to agree to new contracts with Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez as well.

Koscielny has improved a lot since joining the Premier League giants in 2010. The French international is widely regarded as one of the best defenders in the Premier League and around Europe.

Meanwhile, Olivier Giroud has been sensational for the Gunners since his return to the first team a few weeks ago. The former Montpellier star has been scoring crucial late goals for Arsene Wenger’s side week in week out.

As far as Coquelin is concerned, the young midfielder has done well to establish himself as a starter for Arsenal. His ability to break up the play has improved the Gunners as a defensive unit.

Arsene Wenger also expressed his delight after having sealed the extensions of three important players.

He said:

We are very pleased that three important members of our team have committed to us for the long term. Francis has made tremendous technical strides over the past few years because he’s so focused every day. Olivier has big experience in the game now and has become a more and more complete player since joining us. Laurent is of course a key part of our squad and I believe one of the best defenders in the world today. So overall, this is great news for us.
