Five Premier League Managers Most Likely To Be Sacked Before December

Traditionally, November and December are the months that managers in the Premier League lose their jobs. A recent study from BettingExpert reveals that 30% of all managers sacked in the Premier League history are during these two months.

The reason is that by this point, the clubs’ owners get a fair idea about the season’s overall performance. Plus, they probably feel a change in manager in time for the January transfer window can help a team out of trouble.

So far this season, no manager in the Premier League has lost his job in November, but judging by the performance, a few of them could be given cold shoulders in the coming two months.

Here, we take a look at five Premier League managers whose positions are under threat:

David Moyes

The former Manchester United manager is the odds favourite with Sky Bet at 11/8 to lose his job. Sunderland are sitting uncomfortably at the bottom of the table and are facing a tough battle to save them from relegation. With just five points on board, one win so far and eight defeats already, surely, at some point of time, the owners will run out of patience with Moyes if the situation does not improve.

Bob Bradley

Swansea are the only team along with Sunderland that are yet to register a win at home this season. Bradley has failed to provide the confidence the team needs at the moment. The Swans are without a win in their last 10 matches and the team is clearly on the downward spiral under their current manager.

Mike Phelan

Hull City made a strong start to the season after winning their opening two games, including a 2-1 win over champions Leicester City on opening day. The newcomers, however, failed to build on the early promise as the Tigers lost six games in a row. Nevertheless, Phelan’s side have shown signs of resilience at times and their 2-1 win over Southampton just before the November international break will boost their confidence.

Alan Pardew

Crystal Palace are struggling to win matches at home. They are a much better side than what their league position suggests. Pardew’s position has come under scrutiny and his future at the club will largely depend on how Palace fare in the next few games. Three of their next six opponents include Manchester City, Manchester United, and Chelsea. No pressure, Pards.

Slaven Bilic

It has been a difficult season for West Ham. The Hammers have found it tough to adjust quickly at their new ground and are giving the impression that they are a shadow of the side that finished seventh last season.
