Over the past few days we have been tracking Liverpool’s interest in Fiorentina goalkeeper Neto. The Brazilian goalkeeper’s future has been under intense speculation as his contract is set to expire in the summer. With no talks of an extension, TMW have reported this morning that Neto has decided to leave Florence in the summer.
It is believed that the 25 year old wants to join a club with higher ambitions. Juventus and Roma are possible options if he wants to stay in Italy and there are a lot of potential suitors elsewhere in Europe.
Viola News have also reported that Neto is certain to leave the club and would be offered to Spanish side Valencia in the summer. It would possibly mean that Valencia would in turn offer Diego Alves to Liverpool as per the report.
Neto’s agent also said that his client is free to talk to clubs, “We announced Neto does not want to renew with Fiorentina. He is thus free to talk to other clubs to seek an agreement. It’s a pleasure to read in the papers the Neto is linked with so many teams . He has so far played very well but we have not yet closed business with any club.”
