<emUpdate: Gallery updated with the latest screenshots released by EA Sports and official trailer at the bottom. Also, Soccerlens has played the early version of the game, read our FIFA 11 Review.

The 18th game of one of the best football video games, FIFA 11 will be hitting the markets on 1st October 2010 in Europe, 30th September in Australia and 28th September in North America for PS3, Xbox 360, Wii, PC, PSP, PS2, DS, and mobile platforms.

Improving on the FIFA World Cup 2010, new features include the following:

  • Same game engine for PC as for Xbox 360 and PS3.
  • PC users will be able to customize their online avatar, compete online with players from all over the world and get on the leaderboard.
  • Personality+ allows to improve the way that players’ individual abilities are reflected in-game. Each player will have 36 attributes and 57 traits, resulting in clearer differentiation between players.
  • Created team names, kits and players can be customized and players can be editred in a more in-depth way than before with the Creation Center.
  • Personalized soundtracks. Finally. Users will be able to import their own music into the game. Also, chants and club anthems can be set to play during intros, halftime, after goals or at the end of matches.
  • Merging the already existing ‘Be A Pro’ mode and ‘Manager’ mode, they have introduced the Career Mode, where the player can choose to be a player, manager, or a player-manager over fifteen seasons.
  • Wii users can now play 5-on-5 street football as well as the traditional 11-on-11 and after FIFA 1998 (I think), for the first time, users can play indoors to play with many additional customizable features.
  • Goalkeepers will be more responsive and powerful while rushing for the ball. They are more agile and they will make better saves. Basically, scoring will be harder.
  • Players that use the manual control setup will have a different leaderboard.
  • For the first time, you will be able to play as a goalkeeper in the Be A Goalkeeper mode. You will also be able to play as a goalie online – making FIFA 11 the first ever game to be the full 11-on-11 online play with each player locked into one position. CPU help will vary – assisted, semi-assisted and fully manual depending on your goalie skills. Unfortunately, this feature is exclusive for PS3 and Xbox 360 only.
