There has been all sorts of rumour going on about Fernando Torres, the Chelsea striker, who has been plying trade in Italy with AC Milan on a two-year loan deal.

After cutting a miserable figure last season for the Blues, Torres has struggled to find his form at Milan as well, where he managed only a goal to his name so far. Widespread reports suggest that Milan are pondering to sell him to Atletico Madrid in a swap deal that would see Cerci going the other way.

Yesterday, we covered a story based on reports from Spain, where they claimed that a deal has been done, but we haven’t got any official confirmation as yet.

Meanwhile, Atletico Madrid defender Juanfran, claims that he is looking to see Torres returning back to his old club. Possibly that suggest probably Atletico players are also anticipating his arrival as well.

Juanfran said as quoted by AS: “I’m looking forward to the signing of Torres, when it is confirmed. Fernando is a great player.”

Torres joined Chelsea from Liverpool in the January transfer window of 2011 for a then British record transfer fee, but has failed to make any significant impression for the Blues. It seems like his future increasingly lying away from Chelsea, and whether he joins Atletico in coming days now remains to be seen.
