Federico Higuain, the brother of Napoli striker Gonzalo Higuain, says Chelsea striker Radamel Falcao is good enough to play in any league in the world, including the MLS.

The Argentine midfielder who plays for Columbus Crew started his professional career with River Plate alongside Falcao.

When asked recently whether Falcao can play in the MLS, Higauin said as quoted by AS:

“We are talking about a great football player, one of the best attackers; I think he can play both in MLS and anywhere in Europe.”

Falcao, who reportedly earns around £140k-per-week, has struggled badly this season for the Blues. The Colombian striker has managed only one start in the league and has only one goal to his name.

Jose Mourinho said at the time of signing Falcao that the former Porto striker will rediscover his old form at Chelsea, after failing miserably at Manchester United the previous season. However, it seems, the Portuguese has given up hopes on him.

Recent reports suggest Chelsea are looking to offload him in the January transfer window, but no big European clubs are ready to take a gamble on him. Even Falcao’s parent club, Monaco, aren’t willing to take him back for the rest of the season.

According to reports from TMW, Valencia could be interested in signing Falcao in January. New Valencia boss Gary Neville wants him at Mestalla and he is keen to sign him during the winter transfer window.

Falcao is only 29 and at this stage he should be playing at the peak of his career. However, he hasn’t been the same player anymore after the cruciate ligament injury he suffered two years back. A move to MLS is a good idea, where he will have less pressure on his shoulders to perform, but he will probably give at least one more try at another big European club to resurrect his career.
