Ahead of Chelsea’s Round of 16, second leg Champions League tie with PSG, midfielder Cesc Fabregas has ushered heaves of praise for Marco Verratti.

Fabregas when asked to comment on Verratti’s potential to become a world class midfielder, he said that the Italian midfielder is an exceptional talent and he reminds him bit of Xavi.

Verratti has been one of the key players for PSG, and has been regularly linked with a move to the Premier League, with Manchester United and Arsenal thought to be interested in him.

As per the reports. PSG understood to be open to offers in the region of £40m, but Verratti is reluctant to leave PSG at the moment, rather wants to continue here for many years to come.

“I’m saying this not to please fans, or journalists, I’m saying it because it’s true: I love Paris,” Verratti said.

“Staying here for many years is my main goal.

“There’s no reason to go anywhere else, this is a team which becomes stronger every year, with many great players.

“I’m very happy at Paris Saint-Germain, and I don’t want to leave.”

Verratti is only 22 and has all the potential to become a world class player in future. It is indeed a great compliment to be compared with Spanish great Xavi.
