€35m Arsenal target excited about transfer proposals in January

Jackson Martinez was one such striker who was in hot demand right through the summer transfer window. The Colombian striker who was consistently linked with a move to Arsenal and Liverpool ultimately stayed put at Porto. Martinez also signed a contract extension till 2017 but he has a release clause of €35m.

The 28 year old had a decent World Cup in Brazil and reports from England over the past few weeks have hinted that Liverpool will make a move for him in the upcoming January transfer window. Though the credibility of the sources are yet to be verified, the Porto striker reportedly claimed that he is excited about transfer proposals in the coming transfer window.

As quoted by Portuguese Media Outlet A Bola, Martinez said, “My representative is dealing with negotiations. I prefer to keep me away from it all. At the end of the season, I hope to introduce myself proposals.” Earlier the Colombia Media had picked up stories from England claiming that Liverpool is preparing a €38m offer for the Colombian The Reds have sweated over the form of Mario Balotelli and with neither of their strikers getting goals, Martinez looks like a good choice to make.

Its well known that Portuguese outfits are primarily deemed as selling clubs to maintain their balance but there is one key aspect over a possible transfer.
