Chelsea handed massive injury boost as star player available for QPR clash

ChelseaChelsea manager Jose Mourinho claims star striker Diego Costa will be available for the West London derby against Queens Park Rangers on Saturday.

The Blues host their local rivals in the Premier League clash at Stamford Bridge. The Spain international was out of action after the international break with a hamstring injury. On Thursday, we revealed the Brazil-born Spanish striker returned to training.

The former Real Madrid manager confirmed the striker will return to the first team after spending the last few weeks on the sidelines. However, Mourinho confirmed that Loic Remy and John Obi Mikel will miss the QPR match.

“Jose Mourinho reports Diego Costa is available for selection for tomorrow’s game against Queens Park Rangers,” Chelsea confirmed on their official website.

“Ramires is also back in the squad for the first time since sustaining a muscle injury at Manchester City last month.”

It will be for the first time the Portuguese tactician will face QPR and claims the clash against the local rivals will be not be easy.

“I think I know what to expect from QPR, and I can say it will be a difficult game for us. It’s the first time I play against QPR. London is a special place because of the number of derbies, which makes it unique,” Mourinho said in his pre-match press conference.
