Liverpool are hoping to do some business in the last few days of the transfer window. The Anfield club may still be looking to add one more central midfielder to their ranks, should they sell Lucas Leiva to Napoli. Apart from that, there could be few loan deals as well, with Brendan Rodgers may look to send few youngsters on loan to gain exposure.

And one of them is the highly talented Jordan Ibe, who is seen as a brightest future prospect for Liverpool.

Reds manager has spoken highly of him during the pre-season and expects him to play a big role for Liverpool in the next few years.

However, currently Rodgers cannot offer him regular football at Anfield and therefore has decided to send him on loan, where he would get regular game time and enough exposure. Ibe is set to join Derby County on a season long loan this summer and the deal could be completed within next 24 hours.

Ibe was heading to Bolton earlier last week but their manager, Dougie Freedman, has admitted their chase for the England Under-19 international is over.

“Jordon looks like he is going to Derby,” said Freedman.

“It looks like we have missed out on that one once again.

“The contribution that we would have had to make financially was too difficult for us to meet.”

Derby County are expecting to sign him within the next 24 hours and wants him to play a part in Saturday’s Championship clash against Ipswich Town.
