Barcelona travel to Deportivo this week and the Spanish champions will be looking to get their La Liga title race back on track with a win here.
Barcelona are going through a terrible phase right now and are desperate for a win here. Luis Enrique’s side slumped to a series of defeats against Valencia, Sociedad, Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid. They are level on points with Atletico Madrid and just one point ahead of Real Madrid and cannot afford to drop anymore points.
Deportivo have lost just one of their last four matches in La Liga, but that defeat did come in their last home fixture against Las Palmas. The last two times these two sides met, both matches ended in a draw and Barcelona cannot afford a draw here.
Barcelona will be without their best centre back Gerard Pique, who has been suspended after picking up a few yellow cards. Both Thomas Vermaelen and Jeremy Mathieu are injured as well.
Rafinha and Sandro are the other absentees for Luis Enrique’s side.
As for Deportivo, Alberto Lopo and Alejandro Arribas are suspended.
Luis Alberto is a doubt for the home side as well.
Deportivo: Manu; Lauro, Sidnei, Navarro, Pablo; Borges, Mosquera; Cani, Fajr, Juanfran; Perez
