It seems like Chelsea are closing in to sign the highly rated Croatian forward Andrej Kramaric. The 23-year-old forward has been linked with a move to the London outfit for sometime now, and anticipations were brewing that Chelsea might make a move formal move for the young forward, who has scored 27 goals in all competitions this season for HNK Rijeka.

Several European heavyweights like Juventus and AC Milan were thought to be following his development, while Premier League outfit Leicester City had already tried their luck by lodging an official bid of around €10m.

Several media outlets including Goal, who in their exclusive report, claimed that Chelsea representatives were in Croatia to meet with the player’s father and agent.

And now, reputed Sky Italia journalist Gianluca Di Marzio claims that the deal is close, with the meeting likely to held today and that Chelsea will lodge a formal bid.

Should the deal go through which is highly likely, Kramaric will travel to England on January 5th for the medical, per Di Marzio. Chelsea will set an offer around 7-8m , on a four year contract with wages around 1.2m.

Kramaric upon signing with Chelsea could finish the season on loan at Vitesse or Leicester.Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho said earlier that there won’t be any transfer movement in January, but it seems like the Blues are on the verge of sealing their first signing in few days time.

There could be one or two departures from the club as well with the likes of Mohamed Salah being reportedly linked with a move away from the Bridge, albeit on loan. There is a high possibility that Salah, who has played only 12 minutes of Premier League football, could be allowed to join any foreign club, with Serie A giants Inter Milan having shown keen interest in him.
