Chelsea have been linked with a move for the Roma midfielder Radja Nainggolan. The Belgian is a prime target for the incoming Chelsea manager Antonio Conte.

The former Juventus manager is expected to take over from Guus Hiddink at the end of this season when his contract expires with the Italian national team.

Conte wants to add more steel and defensive depth to Chelsea’s midfield and has decided to move for the Belgian star. Nainggolan has been one of the best midfielders in Europe over the last 18 months and would be an outstanding addition to any Premier League side.

Earlier it was reported that Nainggolan is aware of Chelsea’s interest and is considering a summer move. Reports also stated that Nainggolan is consulting with his friends regarding a potential transfer.

Apparently he is a priority target for Chelsea alongside Cavani and Bonucci.

The Belgian has however quashed such rumours now through his twitter account. The Belgian claimed that he is not in talks with any club and has not spoken to his friends about a move either.

“If I haven’t talked with any club then why would I have discussed anything with friends,” the Giallorossi man posted on his personal Twitter account. “Forza Roma and Forza Belgium tonight [Tuesday]!”

Nainggolan is valued at around 35 million Euros by Roma and it will be interesting to see if Chelsea make a formal bid this summer.
