Incoming Chelsea manager Antonio Conte is looking to sign an experienced replacement for club captain John Terry and it seems that the Blues are eyeing up a move for the Real Madrid star Sergio Ramos.

Terry is out of contract in the summer and Chelsea have not offered him a new deal so far.

Conte is keen on adding a quality centre back alongside Kurt Zouma and Gary Cahill this summer and Ramos would be a fantastic addition.

The Italian manager is also looking at Bonucci to complete his defensive unit in a 3-5-2.

According to Spanish outlet Don Balon, Chelsea have already submitted a 64 million pound offer for Sergio Ramos.

Despite his obvious quality, Ramos is 30 and paying that kind of money for him is nothing short of ridiculous, even with Chelsea’s resources.

Earlier there were rumours that Ramos wants to leave Real Madrid, but he ended up signing an extension last summer after being offered a pay rise.

It will be interesting to see how Real Madrid react to the offer if it has been submitted. The player has had a poor season by his standards and at his age, it would be foolish to turn down a fee like that.

Ramos has been a long-term transfer target for Manchester United.
