Romeu was destined to establish himself in the Chelsea squad after signing from Barcelona in 2011. But the Spaniard featured in only 22 League games for the Stamford Bridge outfit. His lack of game time however is understandable thanks to Chelsea’s plethora of midfield talent.

Romeu however has adjusted to life in Germany quite well. He has started all of Stuttgart’s 7 games in the season and has shown good form with an overall 87% successful passing rate. The Spaniard however mentioned that he would have liked to see the team in a better position in the standings.

When asked what has been his success mantra, Romeu claimed, “Maybe I play easy passes and try not to lose the ball cheaply. In some games we play a lot of counterattacks and sometimes you have to slow it down a bit and try to keep the ball for a few minutes so that you can recover and get your breath back.”

But he mentioned that ,”I will never say no to staying in Stuttgart.” Romeu had earlier spent the last season on loan at Spanish side Valencia.
