According to reports in Madrid based newspaper Marca, Chelsea are desperate to quickly wrap up the services of Atletico Madrid left back Filipe Luis.  The Blues have already kicked off their preparations for the upcoming 2014-15 season and manager Jose Mourinho wants the majority of his signings at his disposal.

The La Liga winners had earlier been holding out on their €24m asking price for the Brazilian left back but now it is believed that a €20m deal is agreed by both the clubs.

Luis is set to play an integral role for the Stamford Bridge outfit next season, filling in the void after club legend Ashley Cole departed for Italian giants Roma. Spaniard Cesar Azpilicueta, though naturally being a left back slotted in left role to perfection for the majority of last season but Mourinho wants a specialist player for that role in his side.

We had earlier reported that the player himself wants to move to Chelsea but his price tag cum release clause was becoming the major obstacle for the English club to snap up the player earlier. However it now appears that a deal has been struck and we will get to see Luis holding a Chelsea kit very soon when his transfer is set to officcialy confirmed.
