Talented French centre back, Kurt Zouma could be on his way out of Chelsea in January.

The strong and athletic centre back who was signed as a long term replacement for club legend, John Terry, has been starved of game time this season and could consider a move to Fiorentina in January.

The Italians are a keen admirer of the Zouma and are willing to make a move when the transfer window reopens.

The Viola approached Chelsea about Zouma in the summer, but their enquiry was rebuffed. It is believed that Chelsea are keen to hold on to their prized asset, who they believe can be one of world’s finest.

However, Fiorentina are so desperate for the Chelsea player, they are willing to offer him a way out on loan and then buy him outright later.

Zouma is keen to play regularly and Mourinho’s decision to persist with the faltering Ivanovic could make Zouma’s decision for him.

It will be interesting to see how Chelsea respond to the interest in Zouma, now that they have missed out on John Stones.

It is highly unlikely that Jose will sell any more defenders, especially without signing a couple.

Chelsea have struggled defensively this season and Kurt Zouma has done enough in the past to deserve a chance. Whether Mourinho will place his faith on the young man remains to be seen, but his talent is beyond any doubt.
