Portugal midfielder Andre Gomes is a man in demand right now.

The Valencia midfielder is a target for Chelsea, Manchester United, Juventus this summer.

According to Sky Sports, Chelsea have had a 32 million pounds bid rejected for the Portugal international earlier. The report claims that Benfica are set to receive 25 percent of the fee due to a sell on clause and therefore Valencia are determined to drive the price up to make a reasonable profit.

Earlier this season, there were reports that Gomes’ agent Jorge Mendes promised his client to Manchester United and now the reputed Portuguese journalist Silvio Vieira is reporting that Andre Gomes is ready to leave Valencia this summer and would prefer a move to Manchester United.

The Old Trafford outfit certainly have the financial resources to match any Chelsea offer and are in a better position than the Londoners in terms of attracting top players as well.

The next few weeks should be interesting in the Gomes transfer saga. It remains to be seen if Chelsea submit an improved offer or Manchester United agree to Valencia’s demands.

Gomes is a fantastic young central midfielder and he further established his credentials with a stunning performance against Iceland in the Euros.
