Guarin has also been strongly linked with a move to the Premier League this month, with both Chelsea and Manchester United reportedly keen to bring the powerful midfielder to England.

With the crisis surrounding Guarin steadily growing, his agent is now insisting that Inter president Erick Thohir host emergency negotiations,

“I ask President Thohir to think for one minute of the player and his family,” agent Marcelo Ferreyra told Sky Sport Italia (via Football Italia).

“We will talk to Thohir about this situation, which has never happened at any club in the world. For a week no Inter director has spoken to me or to Fredy, so now we want a private meeting with Thohir.

“The situation is simply not clear and we demand an urgent meeting. Guarin is really suffering and his family flew in from Colombia to help.

“Have we had further contact with Juve? I don’t want to talk about any other club, we just want to talk to Thohir.”

With the ongoing situation surrounding the player seemingly refusing to abate, Chelsea and United could well return for Guarin, with the 27-year-old currently desperate to leave the San Siro.
