Carlo Ancelotti is yet to become the new head-coach of Real Madrid and already speculations are rife about which players he might want to bring in at the Bernabeu.

According to Spanish newspaper Marca, Brazilian midfielder Paulinho is very high up on the Madrid’s wanted-list and certainly one of the players Ancelotti will be recommending to Florentino Pérez on his arrival at the club.

Paulinho has been targeted by Serie A giants Inter Milan and as per reports, the player has a spoken agreement with the Italian club.

Reports in Brazilian media suggests that Real Madrid are willing to pay €20 million for the box-to-box type midfielder in one single payment which gives them an edge over Inter, that are looking to spread the deal in four installments.

English club Tottenham Hotspur are also interested in the Corinthians player and are closely monitoring his situations.

Madrid are also thinking of including Ricardo Kaká as part of the deal for the 24-year-old, who scored a scintillating goal in Brazil’s opening game in the Confederations Cup against Japan.

It is expected that Ancelotti will join the Spain’s capital club at some point of time within this month. But, the situation is getting more complex day-by-day as Paris Saint-Germain are reluctant to part ways with their manager without any suitable replacement in place.

According to Italian media, Fabio Capello, the current coach of the Russian national side has rejected Paris Saint-Germain’s offer of a one-year contract.

It was reported that Capello’s son, Pierfilippo met with PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi and Director of Sport Leonardo to negotiate a deal for his father. It was understood that the Italian felt the deal was insufficient and subsequently he would continue in his current post as the coach of Russian National side.

However, Pierfilippo later made it clear that no negotiation had taken place with PSG and confirms that he was in talks with Leonardo due to his other works as an agent.

“The meeting was simply about a few players and some opportunities,” he told Sky Sport Italia.

“It was an encounter we had organised with Leonardo some time ago. I have known him for over 15 years, so it’s just a coincidence that the meeting occurred while rumours were circulating about my father.

“We did not begin any negotiations with PSG over my father.”

Capello is under contract with Russia till 2014, but Russia’s Minister of Sport, Vitaly Mutko wants the Italian to continue until after the 2018 World Cup finals.

Thus, as it stands, Ancelotti cannot join Madrid immediately due to PSG’s managerial impasse. And, without any head-coach in place, the La Liga giants could face problems concluding deals for their targets.
