Insigne has started the season impressively with Napoli and is being courted by several European heavywieghts.
His agent, Fabio Andreotti revealed that teams have already started approaching him with interesting offers from the Premier League.
“I read that Wolfsburg liked him but there was nothing concrete. Unlike some real offers from England”, he said.
Italian daily, Calciomercato have claimed that the English club Andreotti is speaking about, is Arsenal.
Arsene Wenger happens to be a fan of the Italian and is keen to sign him in January or next summer. The Frenchman is though to have got in touch with Andreotti and has laid out his transfer plans for Insigne.
Napoli are reluctant to let go of their prized asset and will be demanding ridiculous sums of money for the 24 year old.
Although money is not an issue for Arsenal, Wenger has never overpaid for a player. The Arsenal manager even claimed that he could have signed players like Anthony Martial had he overpaid, but he chose not to.
It will be interesting to see how Napoli react to Arsenal’s offer and if they are willing to negotiate. Also, it could be a game changer if Insigne decides to force a move, in which case Napoli might have cash in reluctantly.
