Petr Cech’s future has been subject to intense speculation over the last few months. With the Belgian international, Thibaut Courtois nailing down the number one spot at Chelsea, the long serving Czech has been linked with several moves away from the Londoners.

Along with the likes of Van Der Sar, Petr Cech has been one of the best ever Premier League goalkeepers and is still a world class addition to any side in the world. The Chelsea star has been linked with a move to fierce rivals Arsenal and European Champions Real Madrid.

Manchester United star, David De Gea remains the number one priority for the Spanish giants. Consequently, this might be a great opportunity for Arsenal, who should do everything in their power to convince Petr Cech about a move to Emirates.

Petr Cech has always been vocal about his affection towards the Premier League and London in particular. It is no secret that Cech wants to stay in London, where his family is settled.

Furthermore, the promise of Champions football and most importantly, regular game time makes Arsenal an attractive prospect for the Chelsea keeper.

Arsenal have missed a strong presence in between the sticks for a while now. The likes of Fabianski, Almunia, Szczesny and Ospina have all been fairly inconsistent and average for the North London giants over the last few years.

A move for Petr Cech would not only benefit Arsenal in terms of upgrading a particular position. The winning mentality and experience he would bring into the side would be invaluable.

Having spent years in the shadow of Manchester United and Chelsea, Arsenal finally look like a side capable of challenging the big boys. With greater resources at their disposal, Wenger can finally finish what he started.

Arsenal have always had a talented core of young players, however, the lack of experience and mentality has often denied them when it matters most. The addition of Cech would fill the void left by the likes of Adams, Vieira etc and give them a much needed presence int the dressing room.

Furthermore, signing Cech would mean that they are getting a world class keeper with atleast 2-3 years at the very top level. This is a player who has won every trophy at club level and with the price quoted (€15m), it is a no brainer.
