Former Juventus manager Antonio Conte is close to agreeing on a deal to become the Chelsea manager at the end of this season.

The Italian is currently managing his country’s national team and will be out of a contract after Euro 2016. Conte is eyeing a move back to club management and Chelsea are prepared to offer him a chance.

The Blues are looking to hire a long-term replacement for Jose Mourinho and with Pep Guardiola going to Manchester City, they are looking to sign the Serie A winner.

Chelsea were also interested in the likes of Simeone and Ancelotti. It seems that both are unattainable for next season and, therefore, the Londoners have switched their attention towards the mercurial Italian manager.

According to reports, Conte has demanded four key additions to his side before agreeing to take over.

The Italian has asked Chelsea for three new players and a new sporting director. Conte is interested in signing Radja Nainggolan, Antonio Candreva and Arturo Vidal for Chelsea.

He will also request Chelsea to consider appointing Walter Sabatini as the London club’s new sporting director.
