Arsenal have reportedly joined the race to sign the highly rated Dynamo Kiev defender Aleksander Dragovic, who is also wanted by Manchester United.

The 24-year-old Austria international is keen to leave Ukraine in the summer and has already attracted several Premier League heavy weights.

Back in the January transfer window, he was strongly linked with a move to Old Trafford, with several reports even claiming that a deal had been agreed between the clubs.

A move to United did not transpire, and although Louis van Gaal retains the interest, the club is still not convinced with his consistency.

According to the Daily Mail, Arsenal are also monitoring his progress and will send scouts to watch him in action against Everton on Thursday.

German giants Borussia Dortmund are also in the race, as they see him as a potential replacement of Mats Hummels, though his £15m price tag could be a stumbling block.

Dragovic is contracted to his current club until 2018 but as it stands he could be soon leaving the club next summer.
