Does Adnan Januzaj need a break from Manchester United?

Louis van Gaal is reportedly considering the option of sending Manchester United winger Adnan Januzaj on loan next season.

The Belgian winger was one of the stand out performers under David Moyes, but has  struggled to establish himself under the new manager. He has only made seven league starts this season and is yet to score.

After making a bright impression under Moyes, for which he was awarded with a new five-year-deal last October and was handed Ryan Giggs’s iconic 11 shirt, it seems his career at Old Trafford has stalled.

The arrival of Angel di Maria and the return to form of Ashley Young has seen him dropping down the pecking order at the club, but what was really surprising was his inability to adjust to the new system under Van Gaal.

The Dutchman is now considering the options of sending him on loan next season in order to give him regular playing time. United are also trying to sign PSV Eindhoven’s Memphis Depay, a player who like Januzaj operates as a wide player and is personally liked by Van Gaal, and his arrival would offer a further threat to the Belgian’s first team prospects at United.

Januzaj is only 20 and has ample time to re-establish his career at Old Trafford. He is a special talent and cashing on him at this moment doesn’t make any sense, therefore, a loan move is the best possible solution for all the parties involved. Remember, Danny Welbeck and Jonny Evans are just two recent examples of United players who went out on loan to get regular football and came back a lot stronger as a result.

Does Adnan Januzaj need to go out on loan or do you expect LVG to give him a regular starting berth next season?
