I’ll cover the Nani / Anderson moves to Manchester United in much greater detail in the next couple of days, but to kick things off I just wanted to make a few observations:
Anderson needs a work permit, although I doubt that it will be too much of an issue, what with Anderson playing for Brazil this summer in the Copa America. At worst, Manchester United will have to put the matter into appeal and get things done by August – which makes this ‘early’ business a very good thing.
Nani is not Ronaldo, so let’s not expect him to win games on his own for Manchester United next season.
Anderson has been hyped more than Nani, and I’m a bit surprised to see Manchester United sign him. Oh, and someone should tell the Guardian staff that Anderson plays as a striker as well.
Sky Sports should issue a public apology / retraction for posting bogus news last week about Nani signing a new contract. Ditto for Goal.com, but I doubt they’ll bother.
Arsetnal + more money + better manager = Manchester United. We’re picking up good kids, but we’re balancing the squad with experienced players and the team is flexible in its style of play – and yes, we’re spending a lot of money to do it.
Manchester United’s 9th title lost a bit of its shine when United lost to Milan and Chelsea. The two new signings (plus Hargreaves coming in) have turned the optimism knob way into overdrive. Let’s try to keep our feet on the ground and not emulate Liverpool or Tottenham in making grand predictions about the next season. We’ve now got a good core of young kids who will hopefully grow up together at Manchester United and help us win more titles.
We need to sell two players now – a striker and a winger. I want to keep Saha and Eagles, so for me it means that Smith / Ole and Richardson should go.
As a side-note, Silvestre says he wants to stay but should he really? Heinze is not leaving (more on this tomorrow) so we’ve got two left-backs already. Pique ahead of Silvestre (to give him experience, if nothing else), so where does that leave the Frenchman? Newcastle anyone?
Ok, I’m branching off into unrelated talk now, so I’ll wrap this up by saying that it’s excellent news that we’ve got our transfer business more or less wrapped up by the end of May and that I hope that we’ve got all our players in when pre-season begins.
By the way, the current squad now looks quite a bit like one of my Football Manager configs – although I had Marcelo in, had sold Evra, Smith, Dong and Ole and had brought in Klose too. Oh, and Kuszczak and Foster again out on loan with Buffon in and EVDS on the bench.
Oh, and since everyone seems happy to do this, here’s my next season’s starting XI:
EVDS
Neville/Brown, Rio, Vida, Heinze
Ronaldo, Carrick, Hargreaves, Nani
Rooney, Anderson
Scholes and Giggs rotating with the middle 4, and Saha rotating with the front two.
I’m out. More on Nani and Anderson soon.
Nani is a good player, but will never be as Cristiano Ronaldo.
About Anderson, i have to say, as a Benfica fan: tanks MU for signing him. He is a fantastic player, the best of FC Porto, and much better than Nani.
GGGGGGGGGGGreat Stufffff!!
THats.. really great.. 2 new top players.. anderson. is a killa in his shots and also in that pass.. nani is a gun.
Hat tip to you Ahmed, you called Nani out last year, good work mate!
Man u is going to be strong…. one more signing on the way…!!!
with the strengthn of the man united squad at the moment these two young signs will have time to be bleed in once the likes of scholes and giggs retire they will be ready to step up.Great signings two young talented players who will be future stars at man u.
With all the bitter past experiences, let s stay cool before it gets confirmed
What a Surprise!!
Anderson: Is he a striker? or a Left Midfielder?
“Arsetnal + more money + better manager = Manchester United. We’re picking up good kids, but we’re balancing the squad with experienced players and the team is flexible in its style of play”
Typo aside, that’s probably the most poignant thing I’ve read on this blog since I started reading it (almost a year now).
i also liked that aresenal plus more money and better manager equals man u.. i think its true
although i feel they made a mistake when they went young only after the older players started to retire or leave (like vierra, campbell) whearas united are currently buying young while their top talent is still effective.. i think man u are getting it just right..or so it seems
Ahmed, Anderson is a playmaker like Scholes and Ronaldinho. There’s now ay he an Rooney will play upfront together. Expect he, Ronaldo, Nani and Park to man the flanks next season. With Eagles stepping in when Park is injured. I see Giggs becomeing Rooney’s back up alongside Rossi.
OI see us buying a striker and a left back like Baines to cover Evra.
I agree though Smith’s time looks done. Alongside, Richardson, Lee Martin, Solskjaer, Heinze, Silvestre and maybe even O’shea.
so is that it? are those united’s 3 enigmatic summer signings? hargreaves, nani and anderson
how about decent backup RB/LB. Even CB.
now all we need is berbatov and atleast one strong defender we all saw how our season went to shumbles after our top four were injured, would have been good to have 1 reliable defender at the back,iv neva seen portugese football so anyone with a site where i can watch these new signings
Well, Ahmed. When we first signed Ronaldo we had no idea why Fergie paid a whopping 12 million for him. but now we all know what he is worth. I agree he wont win games for MU himself next season. But for me a Winger was a must considering Giggs is 33 now and will only keep ageing and slowing down. So nani gives us good cover.
According to what the Benfica fan says, Anderson must be worth some quid we are spending on him right. I think with all the Portugal players coming in and Quirez playing a hand in all, I believe there is a high chance he is gonna become the next manager of MU. What say?
Dont complain abdalla. If Frgie bought these guys he should have a reason to do it. both ar great, yung playrs that could prove great signings if not this season, next season. Fergie is the man… GO UNITED!
It is really a great news to get the two gifted players Nani and Anderson . but i am afraid we will be on ware with Chelsea like they did with obi on Anderson since he was strongly linked with them a few months a go.
Great signings. I still believe they will buy a top class striker, and they won’t sell Heinze.
Great prospects…looking forward to seeing how SAF fits all the attacking talent in next season.
Richardson and Smith should go, since they’d give us the most money and weaken the squad least (maybe up to £10 mil in total). If Saha is sold, we’ll miss his versatility.
My line-up will be something like this
VDS
Neville/Brown Rio Vidic Evra
Ron/Park/Nani Carr/Scholes/Hargo/Giggs Anderson/Giggs/Nani
Rooney New striker?/Saha/Anderson
Well I should obviously not get picked to chose the line-up.
But I’m sure, we’ll see SAF using both the 4-3-3 and the 4-2-3-1 a lot more next season.
It’s just a great time to buy these 2 kids. It gives SAF 1 or possibly 2 seasons to let Giggs and Scholes blood them into stardom at OT. It’s also a reckognition that SAF sees one of the greatest players in MU history, Giggs, nearing his end.
A pleasant surprise to wake up to!
Well Fergie said 3 signings but to be honest, I think there’s one more to go. If Heinze leaves, I wouldnt mind Leighton Baines as cover. He’s had a great season. We possibly need a front man but you can bet that it wont be a big name. I’d still go for Darrent Bent. The Addicks are down and he’s a proven goalscorer – and that was at Charlton. He has decent pace, good movement and would fit in well for max 10m
Why does everyone say we need defenders!?!?!
Wwe have an established back line, there is no point signing any more defenders to sit on the bench, otherwise when they do play, theyre a liability (Bouhlarouz for chelsea anyone?) with Neville, Vidic, Ferdinand, Evra, Heinze as the mainstays Silvestre, Evans, Pique, O’Shea can all play anywhere along the back 4, Bardsley, Brown, Cathcart can all play right back or CB and even Richardson can fill in at left back. People have to consider that you cant go and buy a top class right back as cover for Neville. Have to rely on hungry young talent of which they have a pot full!
Anderson and Nani i am really excited about, along with Hargreaves, WOW! Sign Huntelaar and it will represent a good summer of business.
It looks like Ferguson wants to play the same system Milan play, with carrick and hargreaves sitting in front of the back for ( ala Gattuso and Ambrosini) with 3 attacking midfileders and a lone striker. Excited about the new season, squad is looking very capable of mounting a serious challenge on 3 fronts again, but hopefully without burning out this time!
some good videos of nani on u tube.He has plenty of skill and fast feet, although beating players in the prem will be alot harder than portugal!
It is still early days. They have to go through medicals
and then put pen to paper. I dont trust the chelsea ceo.Remember how he signed ashley cole and also tried to lure rio ferdinand. The man has no dignity or self respect. So all is not done until it is done. But this time
round I think he does not have the weapon(cash).
A great bit of business by Man U! Like some other posts have touched on, I can’t see us stopping here – there’s at least one more signing to come…. Huntelaar possibly??
Oh, and well said Raju!!! Why are so many people parping on about selling Ole? I read it all the time! He won’t bring massive amounts of cash and, as far as I’m aware has already agreed a deal to stay at Man U in an ambassadorial / coach role…. plus the guy is a legend!
WOW! http://youtube.com/watch?v=MA1IHwOJScw
I think that Nani and Anderson are GREAT signings! The guys are the ‘new’ ronaldo and ronaldinho (respectively) if you pay any attention to the media, and hopefully we haven’t paid too much over the odds for them by sealing the deals quickly and (well especially Anderson) quietly (which I’d like to congratulate Ferguson on). However!! It still, for me, leaves some questions to be asked: 1) Where the real out and out goal scorer? Some will say Rooney is already that but I’m not sure. 2) Where will our experience come from? With a Schole, Giggs et al. looking set to retire soon who can we look to for that much needed experience, just look at Milan for evidence of how useful this can be. 3) How will they fit? Mid: Nani left, Carrick, Hargreaves (hopefully) Ronaldo Upfront: Rooney Anderson? Don’t know. 4) Have we signed too many flair players? Ronaldo at Man U works because he has he is the only real ego in the squad. Players like Giggsy, Scholes, Fletcher, Carrick etc. don’t look for the plaudits. This means he can express himself on the field without annoying others. My one and only problem with Ronaldo and all his tricks is that it sometimes it does lead to selfish play. Ronaldo had the most shots of any prem play last year (145) and although he gets lots of goals, if we alctually look at his conversion ratio (goals/shots) its low at 12%. So I’m not saying he’s bad for the team I’m just saying he’s a little wasteful and prone to playing for himself. Now Nani and Anderson are similar to Ronaldo in that they both like to do tricks, free-kicks and score! Not a totally bad thing, but with all three in the side will we see competitiveness turn bad with each trying to impress the most, score the most, want to take the free-kicks etc. How will Ronaldo’s ego cope if the newspapers forget about him and start lauding Nani or Anderson? Will we see him be more and more selfish as he tries to impress? I’m just postulating but still it will be interesting to see. I guess for all of these only time will tell.
Still all in all a very nice piece of business!
So how much have we spent, so far?
Hargreaves 17m
Nani ??
Anderson ??
It seems that Fergie is doing something, now to challenge in all three comps we need two XI of good players so i think with have the two full teams now:
VDS
Neville,Ferdinand,Vidic,Henize/Evra
Ronaldo, Carrick, Scholes/Hargreaves, Giggs
Rooney, Saha/NP(Huntelaar/Villa)
OR
Foster
O’Shea,Brown,Pique,Henize/Evra
Park,Hardgreaves,Anderson/Scholes,Nani
Smith, Ole/Rossi
Hardgreaves definatly the meat of the team as he frees up the midfeild to do what the like, probably going to be paired with Anderson more beacuse the other two a quite good at the tackling. Anderson is definatly a scholes from brazil, though i think Nani could be a bit… well, S***.
As for the strikers Huntelaar or Villa, go for Villa as team does look like it needs a player in their prime and a big name.
Hey ive read alot, and wont say more about wad was mentioned. I am absolutely delighted with the signings of Nani and Anderson, and also Hargreaves, though its a wonder why its not confirmed yet.
However, I have a concern. While Nani will replace Giggs and Hargreaves rotate with Scholes and Carrick, where will Anderson play? He is dubbed the new Ronalinho, and is apparently a midfield playmaker. However, we already have 3 top central midfielders with enough backup in the likes of Fletch and O’shea.
Rooney and Anderson would be a frightening attack but i feel that we need an out and out striker. As i see it, there are 3 solutions.
1. Convert Rooney to an out-and-out striker. Maybe we can employ a 4-2-3-1 formation to good effect.
2. Buy a true out-and-out goalscorer and offload strikers. Not too sure about Saha and Smith, and i think we love Solkjaer too much to let him go. Rossi could be the solution too, though he needs to improve.
3. Develop Anderson to be the out-and-out striker. Sacrifice the new Ronaldinho to be a striker? Not too sure but it may just work. Hes only 18 so we can develop him into a predator.
Any comments?
Eviltwin just for your info: before we signed Ronaldo he had played 23 games for Sporting scoring 3 goals. Nani has played 29 scoring 5 goals, and also not much was thought of Ronaldo when we first signed him. I’m just trying to say you shouldn’t be so fast to pass judgement before we see what the guy’s got!
Well i can’t help but be excited but i won’t get ahead of myself lol. IMO Anderson deserves his hype, Nani not so much, but i hope he proves me wrong. It’s good to have the cover anyway, what a quality midfield we’ll have next year!Personally i would have preffered just Anderson and then a striker(Huntelaar, Bent etc not Defoe please!) but i aint complainin 🙂 Sky Sports News reckons we’ll still buy a striker but i’m not so sure- SAF said he was only going after three signings so as not to disrupt the current squad and it’s spirit, plus we were rumoured to be stopping at 50Mil and according to reports we’ve already spent that much *Here’s to hoping we didn’t spend 17 mil on Anderson and Nani each*
Atleast we’re showing our intent. Now to ship out Richardson and Saha but i want to keep Fletcher(looking doubtful), Eagles, Smith, Ole and Heinze-i know i’m greedy.
Anderson is not a striker at all or a left midfielder, but he´s a magic nº 10 that will give ManUtd some espetacular football moments. He´s a genius!!! ManUtd just got a new fan just to see this kid playing, he´s AMAZING!!
Nani is good, but still has to learn a bit. He´s not Ronaldo, doesn´t score many goals, but has a great tecnique and individual skills and he´s fast too…
Well, now we can all sing “Come to see United”, I simply cannot wait the start of the next season.
I don’t know how much of the transfer warchest has been spent but it’s probably the majority of it. A high profile striker looks unlikely at this stage.
ur starting line up is ok, but why isnt evra on it?! put evra instead of heinze.!!
What about Rossi now lads?? Is the kid going to get a chance at all??
@Eddie
don’t get me wrong…I think these players are fantastic and welcome additions.
just saying that perhaps we need to build up our defence just a bit more. cover for gary and CB’s if nothing else.
i sewa i went mad yesterday when i heard the news i watched Anderson in the u17 world cup and believe me guys he is great he will be one of the best playmakers in the world
as for nani we need another wing coz giggs is getting older
glory man utd
Well, surely I guess we need to sell some of the guys like Richardson, maybe even Fletcher and Smith, and then ship in a big name CF as I don’t thnk Rooney best position is the CF. Afterthat, maybe a RB as well as I think Brown is not too good at the RB.
Afterward, sit back and wait for the triple champion next year.
Abdalla.. Brown, O’Shea, Pique, Evans, Heinze/Evra (depending on who’s first choice).. I think we are ok for cover.
WITH the tranfer funds running out rossi may get a chance in the team cause it will be hard to acquire a top class forward, though not 1st eleven,n unless lightning strikes twice the defence we already have is gud enough, hope injuries next season dont happen to our 4 defenders all at the same time like this season
Ole HAS TO GO?
Ahmed, are you out of your effing mind?
Ole -> Go?
Is any of these two guys a free kick specialist?
We badly need one!
I have to say as a Liverpool fan I am mightily jealous. Man Utd have snapped up two of the most promising young players in the world and have concluded this business even before the transfer window has officially opened. Gill and Fergie got the job done a.s.a.p with these two and owen hargreaves. But what frustrates me most is that it took Man Utd 1 week to sign 3 amazing players whereas Liverpool are working at the pace of a tortoise. Benitez is on holiday with his family, Parry is AWOL and our owners arent putting the money where their mouths are. We have been linked with players such as Tevez, Eto’o and Villa but nothing has happened so far and I’m fed up of playing the waiting game because this happens every year. We get left behind and other teams swoop in and sign players that we wanted. This has happened with Essien and C. Ronaldo which is really quite annoying so I just hope history doesnt repeat itself.
i think ronaldo will have another year to show us just what not to do when taking free kicks, thats the only department becks has a number on ron, saha should go n get replaced by berbatov
Neil. I feel so sorry for all the liverpudlians. But you never know. Benitez will surprise us by signing ronaldino and kaka , so cheer up
Neil. I feel so sorry for all the liverpudlians. But you never know.may be Benitez will surprise us by signing ronaldino and kaka , and a few amigos, so cheer up
Neil. I feel so sorry for all the liverpudlians. But you never know.may be Benitez will surprise us by signing ronaldino and kaka , and a few bull fighters, so cheer up
as a portuguese and benfica fan is good to benfica that transfers but like everyone knows, nani is not cristiano ronaldo but he could be a very good players and i believe that he could be as good as ronaldo and anderson is the next ronaldinho gaucho and watch he playing, you’ll be fascinating
hasta
people are too desperate with the entire 4-4-2 formation…btw ahmed i’m sorry to say this but i think that heinze’s going because he wants first team football…and he’ll get that at real and that too at a really big club…plus i think you rate wes brown a little too highly..i just dont think he’s good enough going forward to be a full back and he’s at best an average defender..i think that united do need to get a full back or might just decide to rotate pique with neville in the coming season…along with that anderson hasn’t been brought in as a support striker but as a long term replacement for scholes…i still think we need to get a half decent striker who can get 15-20 goals a season in the league but i think that can wait for the next transfer window…also i would keep alan smith simply for his work rate and desire..because for me he is as good a player as saha and has got a better attitude than saha….also we are not going to cash in on ole…c’mon!!! get real i mean its ole we’re talkin about here….i do agree that we should get rid of richardson and silvestre….but i’d prefer to see fergie getting in leighton baines if heinze does leave…(p.s hav i mentioned heinze will be leaving he was in madrid for crying out loud)..also now i think this should be our squad for the start of the season..what do you guys think….
starting line up (formation-4 2 3 1)
van der sar
neville/pique rio vida evra/hoefully baines
hargreaves carrick
ronaldo scholes/anderson giggs/nani
rooney (smith/rossi/ole helpin him out)
bench
kuczack (foster’s out injured)..2 out of (scholes,giggs,anderson,nani)…pique/neville…fletcher…
and we’ve got a lot ov squad players as well..if fergie sends the right guys out on loan then in the nezt couple ov years man utd…might not need to make any more than i odd summer signing here and there….btw…i do think that united will still have a massive task in trying to retain the title.but anyways UNITED FOR LIFE!!!
that is first class purchases by alex ferguson well done but manutd obviously needs a goal poacher to add up to the signings.I think with these talented players up our sleeves manutd is surely going to destroy chelsea next season.
Great news about Nani and Anderson, I just hope nothing falls through so I’m trying not to get too excited till the deal is completed.
As for getting rid of players, I say get rid of Saha. He’s injured too much and his “Mentally Unfit” thing was just complete rubbish. He can take Silvestre and Richardson with him.
bloody hell we’re going to need a bigger subs bench
we’re going to need more than one ball on the pitch aswell!
i hope heinze doesnt go, i think he’s a great player and think it’d be a real shame if we let him leave (unless he is determined to go) just because his form hasnt been great since he came back from injury. apart from the dip in form this season i think he suffers a bit from being very good in two positions and never tying down one. a bit like gallas with a few more mistakes. he’s arguably our best free-kick taker aswell!
All good stuff. These two plus Hargreaves amounts to about fiddy million sheets, doesn’t it? Fine but let this also be an end to all that Chelski-are-ruining-the-game-with-their-money bollocks & bile you Man Yoo fans are so fond of whining on (and on and on…) about. I thank you.
These 2 signings confirm that Queiroz will take over after Fergie.
man u only ever complained about chelsa when they were beaten to a signature they always have paid over inflated prices to beat other clubs to signings. Nani and Anderson are good signings but the money is ridiculous where does it stop, big clubs are already signing 12 year olds for millions while the top clubs are willing to overspend to buy players the top teams in england and europe will stay the same the smaller clubs just cant compete. they need to introduce some sort of wage cap like league to restore some balance and give other teams a chance. big money foreign investment is killing the game. Lots of protest surrounded man u takeover and chelsas ability to buy the league but now you have the money to match them there is no more protests.now man u can buy the prem for a couple of years
Nani was the talk of the town and was in the middle of a transfer tussle between United and Spurs. But after this swoop, everyone is talking about Anderson, who seems to be a fantastic talent. I just cant wait to watch him, and hope he takes the EPL by storm.
Im quite confused about the striking situation though. With Rooney, Saha, Rossi, Smith, Solskjaer and Anderson, we seem to have alot of strikers, but none which is the goal poacher we seek!
By the way, regarding the free kick specialist needed in United, Giggs and Ronaldo take our free kicks, but Rooney scored one in his debut and Heinze was the free kick specialist in his old club.
I just cannot understand why its so hard to score from free kicks, since practice makes perfect and they spend hours training every day. Moreover, ive seem videos of footballers, including Ronaldo, kicking the balls into top corners easily. So why doesnt in happen in games???
dude by no means should ole, smith or richardson leave!
Saha should leave hes hopeless.
:-)But even after these signings i think manu still lack a top class striker 2 play alongside rooney
🙂
Tony,
Difference is son, UNited spend 30million on 2 top wuality players that will do nothing but improve, Chelsea spend it on a 30 year old with nothing to proove.
United played most of last season without a ‘top class’ striker and still managed to outscore everone. United dont need anymore ‘top class’ players or big names becasue we have a world class SQUAD!
Have faith in Fergie, the man knows what he is doing

Nani is potentially a great player but its not fair to compare him to ronaldo- their play is not all that similar. I reckon he’ll need a season or two to find his feet in the premiership but giggs and ronny will help him with that. Completely caught off guard by the Anderson signing- I was suspecting Moutinho to sign along with Nani from Sporting. Both are great players but i’d put Anderson above Moutinho who I think would struggle in the premiership because of his size.
I dont know what to make of the striker situation either. Anderson is an attacking midfielder not an out-an-out striker as some people seem to think. (Same could also be said for Rooney actually!) I dont believe we can get more than 10-15 good performances out of Solskjaer next season. Rossi is still a season away from 1st team level. Smith is frankly a backup player. Saha is great when he’s fit but thats the problem!
Hopefully we’ve got the funds for a great striker but i reckon we should hang on to Saha. When he’s playing he’s always a threat with his movement and pace.
Steve, we cant expect Ronaldo to keep scoring 20 goals a season! But its really against teams like Chelsea where we need a class striker- the midfield just cant break them down.
Hopefully we can get the right sort of striker- not the Van Nistlerooy type. He was great at poaching goals but he really stifled our attacking play. Someone like Torres would be perfect in the side (if unrealistic)
the problem with having a fixed centre foward, especially with one man up top, is that a) they are easy to mark out of the game b) if they are having a bad day, no goals are scored.
having 4 players who can play anywhere in the final 3rd means that the opposition defence cant mark anyone. United are at their most effective running at teams at speed, a forward hanging on the last man stifles this becuase the bakc 4 simply step up and play offside. Rossi will be the man i feel as he can play anywhere in the final 3rd
why is everyone so worried about us getting a goalpoacher? when rvn was forced out that pretty much showed fergie’s (and quieroz’s) intent: a hardwoking and creative strike force…rooney won’t have to poach goals, they’ll be made by flowing attacking football…
i imagine anderson won’t start too often though, but long term it looks like we’re going 4-2-3-1, with ronaldo, nani and anderson attacking however they like behind rooney
united do not need a right/left back, ferigie has bought brasilian full backs, 2 left, one right, rincon, and the the twin faboi and rafael, carlos portugese is the reason why man u are buy portuguese talking players
rincon: http://www.ofutebol.com/new_rincon.asp

Man Utd Fans explain to the EPL fans who is going to warm up the bench for your team in 07-08 season. Unless Man Utd is going to play with 14 players instead of 11, then name your candidate for bumbs on the bench. Explain to readers in what other ways Man utd is capable of winning EPL crown apart from buying it. Please note: Diving, cheating, media bias the very trade mark of Man Utd for a successful campain are well known to other fans.
It is weird how Man Utd’s transfer policy have changed over the years. The next year, we will see a totally different style of play compared to the past few generations. What you witnessed with Roma in OT is only signs of things to come. The days of long balls played into the box via the wings are behind us. The potential of these team will reach heights not attainable by any other team in the world or history. To imagine Rooney playing with Ronaldo already bring goosebumps to opposing players, what more to add Anderson and Nani, plus Rossi. It take great players to win titles, but it takes a great teams build with great players to dominate. That is just what this team will do. Expect ManU to pass Liverpool on both domestic and European stage within this 10 years. A time to catch up and prove our supremacy over the Liverpudlians and truly stand as the BEST club in England.
Non-english players often have trouble coming to England and performing because tactically things are so different outside england. I personally believe, these signings are a bit sceptical to be Man U’s answers to their problems.
Remember Veron? Even youngster rossi was useless in Man U.
“The potential of these team will reach heights not attainable by any other team in the world or history.”
Ahahahahahhahahaha.
Robert – ‘youngster’ Rossi did quite well in the game he played against Charlton last season (final game of the season). Not everyone falls into convenient stereotypes my friend.
harry
you need to take a cold shower bcoz ur so upset that man utd have signed those players
heheheheh
I’m From Sporting and I can tell you that Nani had more impact on the team that Cristiano Ronaldo did. Ronaldo was not a fist team pick…Quaresma (in FC Porto Now) was, back then, the first pick. We were expecting C. Ronaldo to be on the 11th on the coming season (but you took him…eheheh). Nani, in 2 years can make the same impact Ronaldo did last year…you will be surprised with what Nani is capable of…
Anderson is not a striker…England and Portugal are not Brasil…he could play Forward in Brasil (like Robinho that plays for Real Madrid now) but not Striker.
Oh Harry (66), you sound so pathetic. Buying the Premiership? We did “buy” the Premiership, with goals.
Diving, cheating and media bias? Are those sower grapes you’re sucking on. If you want to talk about teams buying the Premiership with cold hard cash. you don’t have to look any further than Chelski. A medium sized club with limited trophy success, spending 500mil on players in three years. If you cant see that the backbone of United is home grown, then i would question your “knowledge” of football. We also have miles more English players than any of the other top four. Buying the trophy is something Liverpool are currently trying to do. Its what Blackburn did. You can point and snear all you like at United, but the fact remains that United are still the greatest club in the world, the most succesfull English team for the last 20 years and widely recognised around Europe for developing and nurturing young talent as well as playing the best football in Europe. As far as which players will be warming our bench this year, then clearly it depends on which formation we play, obvioulsy. Having two quality players in each position is whats needed and that abvioulsy means bums on benches. Players like Rio, Vidic, Carrick/Hargreaves, Ronaldo, Rooney will all be regulars, with the rest all vying for the remaining places. Its not difficult. i suppose you would prefer a return to the good old days when teams selected just one sub? I dont think i need to explain how we can (hopefully) defend our title, its pretty self explanatory when you look at the squad.
I wonder which team you support.
OH GOD!I am very eager to see man utd secure Anderson`s
work permit.
It will be a great business for man utd if Anderson get work permit.
Manchester United did the best than any other clubs in the premier league Alex is briliant he has got the brain and he knows what to do not like chelsea who r signing 35 years old and as one year past they can do fuck all Sir Alex u r Briliant and u r going to be champions again dont worry u got more attacking players now chelsea will defend all 90 minutes to not concede goal u will even see Drogba and Shev defending otherwise they r destroyed by United speciall Cristiano ronaldo
Manchester United needs one striker and that is it i think they should go for Gudjohnson and then the media should interview Gudjohnson and asks him compare chelsea to Manchester united i am sure he would say it is difficult i can not campare them bcoz Manchester has got the best coach i ever seen as well as assistant coach whilst chealse has got Marinho who doesnt know what football is and how to be a coach this is a clear example
Manchester should be aware of not leaving players which it has got like wayne rooney cristiano ronaldo nani anderson and evra they are superb
———Van Der Star———-
Nevil—Ferdi—–Vidic—-Evra
———-Harvgreaves———-
Ronaldo——————-Giggs
——Scholes—-Anderson——
————-Rooney————
That’s what i think the starting XI should look like off the top of my head
with foster, heinze, brown, silvestre subs for defence
nani can sub for the wingers, carrick for hargreaves, then with fletcher, o shea and park that’s quite formidible
saha for rooney
the beauty of it is that every substitute named can play in a different position
move over SAF, pseud0nym’s in town
